Cru Catering, one of Charleston’s premier caterers, is proud to announce a partnership with chef Justin Broome, owner of FUEL Cantina, a Caribbean-inspired restaurant in the heart of downtown Charleston. Together, the two will oversee all aspects of Cru Catering, including enhancing culinary opportunities under the Cru and FUEL brands.

Chef Broome is a graduate of Johnson and Wales, with degrees in Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management from Johnson and Wales. Broome interned at the Hotel Boulderado and has extensive experience in catering. He is also the owner of Pitch restaurant consultants and a partner with The New Primal, a health food company.

“We’re very happy to have Justin as part of our crew. His inventive nature and love for all things food will help us continue our mission to offer the highest quality creations to our clients,” says Chef John Zucker, owner of Cru Catering, “Justin understands the importance of creating a flawless event and his addition will elevate Cru Catering to the next level.”

Goodbye Jenny! Thanks for all of your hard work! We will miss you.

Today at Cru, we are all mourning a loss. Our dedicated Catering Director, Jenny Early, is leaving us to move to Florida so she can be closer to her family. Jenny and her husband just gave birth to their son, Law, and realized she needed to be closer to her family, which we can all understand. What Jenny has done for Cru is without words. She has helped so many brides have a flawless wedding day, made special events even more special and has been the glue in the office. She will be sorely missed. We knew we could only have her for so long, but so glad she spent so long with us. We wish her and her family well in Florida, knowing no matter what she puts her mind to…she will succeed.

Thank you Jenny! We will miss you!

This past week we were honored by the readers of the Charleston City Paper when they voted us Best Caterer in the Best of Charleston 2012. This is our 12th win and we couldn’t be happier. We love our community and all the weddings and events that we get to do, and when our local community then nominates us, it’s very rewarding. We enjoyed the City Paper BOC 2012 party and had the opportunity to cater it. We had chicken and waffles and many other delights and the guests couldn’t keep their hands off them. he Governor Thomas Bennett House, circa 1825, is one of the grandest and most beautiful houses in Charleston, South Carolina.
